CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES

Pirate Life, Port Adelaide

TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation of the 50 hectolitre brewhouse in Port Adelaide. The three month installation involved installing 16 fermenter vessels, four bright beer tanks, the fabrication and installation of the brewhouse and cellar CIP sets and the installation of the malt handling and bulk bag handling.

COCA-COLA AMATIL

UHT and Glassline Expansion, Richlands

A $165 million expansion at the CCA Richlands site has allowed the plant to increase production to 90 million unit cases of drink each year. TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation of the new dairy and juice processing system with Tetra Pak and the installation of the new glass bottling line for Krones. Both initiatives will increase production capacity, deliver optimal materials handling and increase revenue sales for the Richlands bottling and new warehouse facility.

BUNDABERG BREWED DRINKS

CIP and Syrup Upgrade, Brisbane

TFG Group was awarded the installation of a four loop CIP system to increase the efficiency of the Bundaberg Brewed Drinks plant in Brisbane. TFG also performed a syrup capacity upgrade which included the installation of three syrup holding tanks to upgrade the existing facility. This upgrade will allow Bundaberg to continue to deliver premium beverages in a more efficient timeframe.

ASAHI BEVERAGES, KRONES AG AND PROCESS PARTNERS

Asahi Beverage Upgrade, Laverton

TFG Group successfully completed the mechanical installation at Asahi Beverages Laverton Brewery to increase the facility’s capacity without disturbing existing production. The timeline was extremely rigid for the size of the project and TFG with multiple supervisors managed the eight month installation, completing it with an impeccable safety record.

LION DAIRY & DRINKS SERVICES

Bevy Brewery, Camfield Tavern

Lion Dairy & Drinks Services awarded TFG Group the installation of the boutique “Bevy Brewery” in the new $5 billion Optus Stadium precinct. The project afforded the mechanical installation team a six week window to complete the installation of the three stage DME 12 hectolitre Brewery.

Ziemann Woodchip Cooking Plant, Yatala

TFG Group was awarded the upgrade to the existing Woodchip Cooking Plant for Ziemann Holvrieka GmbH, to allow the brewing of an additional woodchip flavour for the new Budweiser brew.

COCA-COLA AMATIL

Tank Farm and Syrup Room Expansion, Richlands

A $165 million expansion at the CCA Richlands site has allowed the plant to increase production to 90 million unit cases of drink each year. The new capacity will make this CCA site Australia’s largest beverage making sites. TFG Group was proud to have completed the upgrade in the UHT and the glass bottling line. Simultaneously, TFG was also awarded the new alcohol tank farm expansion and syrup room manifolds.

CLOUGH SUEZ WATER PARTNERS

Beenyup Advanced Water Recylcling Plant Stage 2, Perth

TFG Group supplied large N6 Pipe Spools for Beenyup AWRP Stage 2. The Clough SUEZ Water Partners joint venture was awarded a contract to complete the Stage 2 expansion at the AWRP Stage 2 in Craigie, Western Australia. The Clough SUEZ Water Partnership brought together Engineering and Construction Company, Clough, with global resource management firm, SUEZ, to design and construct the new plant for Water Corporation. The scope of the expansion project included doubling the plant’s capacity to recharge up to 28 billion litres of recycled water each year, which will provide further water security to the residents of Perth.

CLOUGH SUEZ WATER PARTNERS

Beenyup Sulphuric Acid Tanks, Perth

TFG Group was awarded the fabrication of an 10,000 litre Sulphuric Acid Storage Tank to design and code API 650. The tank was fabricated to specifications of 5mm and 16mm grade 316 plate welded to full penetration and X-Ray standards with various sized 316 pipe and flanges. Tank fittings of nozzles, a manway and compensation plates were completed in the fabrication to the highest standards.

PROCESS PARTNERS

Flavoured Milk Upgrade, Masters

TFG Group were the main mechanical installation company to complete the major flavoured milk upgrade at Project Pearl in Bentley, Western Australia. TFG installed a new CIP system, along with three kilometres of stainless steel 316 tube for Lion Dairy & Drinks with the automation project completed by Process Partners.

BESTON PURE FOODS

Mozzarella Cheese Plant Installation, Jervois

TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation at the Beston Pure Foods Mozzarella Cheese factory in Jervois, South Australia. A team of 14 qualified tradesmen were contracted to install the new plant at the brownfield site including the supply and install of all process and service pipework and valve manifolds. The manifolds were fabricated offsite to assist with the accelerating project timeline of six months. TFG also installed eight modified cheese vats and approximately three kilometres of 316 stainless steel pipe and upgraded the CIP set and pasteuriser room. Orbital welders were used to maintain the sanitary grade required in such a facility.

AHRENS GROUP

Coopers Malting, Coopers Brewery

Ahrens Group, the main contractor on this project built the four carbon steel outer vessel shells and contracted TFG Group to fabricate and install the stainless steel internal liners for the vessels and kiln. TFG also expertly installed all services and pipework along with connecting the air, water and cleaning lines and in addition, an overhead gallery of pipe bridges linking the maltings to the brewery. Over three kilometers of 304 and 316 pipe and tube were used in this project.

FRESCO SYSTEMS AUSTRALASIA & ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL

Project Ninja, Wetherill Park

Fresco Systems Australasia were engaged by Lion who awarded TFG Group the contract to complete the installation of a three-stage powder handling system. Mounted on load cells this allows three products to be weighed simultaneously and disperses product effectively. TFG successfully installed all components required for this service.

PROCESS PARTNERS

Mechanical Installation, Project Ninja

TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation of three new flavoured milk lines and three new fillers. TFG was engaged as one of the lead contractors through Process Partners, who designed and engineered the Lion Flavoured Milk Upgrade at the Wetherill Park Site in New South Wales. This is Lion’s largest dairy project in Australia and is currently in validation stage.

CSL BEHRING

Formulation and Mechanical Piping Installation, CSL Biotechnology Manufacturing Facility

TFG Group was engaged to complete the pipework and mechanical installation to increase production of the formulation area in the existing CSL plant. The Biotechnology manufacturing facility required substantial upgrades to all clean rooms and due to the increased demand for plasma, the project was expedited from the original timeline. TFG upgraded the process piping and process service piping to the formulation, bulk purification, sterile filtration and sub fraction sterile plants to ensure the plant was efficient with production.

EVOQUA WATER TECHNOLOGIES

Cleveland Bay Header Spools, Brisbane

TFG Group was awarded the fabrication of 32 Header Spools to the Queensland Water Authority Standard and Specification, successfully delivering the project fabrication on time, safely and within specifications.

FUCHS LUBRICANTS

Lubricant Plant Expansion, Fuchs Lubricants

TFG Group proudly completed the Greenfield mechanical installation expansion for Fuchs Lubricants in Beresfield, New South Wales. The 12-month installation project included nine kilometres of 304 stainless steel sanitary grade tube, one kilometre of stainless steel pipe, multiple tanks and the specialised fabrication of a blending platform and pipe racks to move specialised oils around the 25,000 metered squared factory.

SPX FLOW TECHNOLOGY

Midfield Dryer, Penola

TFG Group was contracted by SPX Flow Technology to install a 3.9 tonne milk powder plant for Midfield Meat International, the end client. The installation was completed over a period of seven months and comprised of an evaporator, dryer equipment and all associated pipework. TFG was also engaged to complete and install the ducting for the project.

Mechanical Installation, Natures Dairy

TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation to fabricate and install pipework and associated pipe racks to the most modern dairy facility in Australia. TFG tradesman installed 7.5km of stainless steel tube at the new plant with the latest Tetra Pak® processing technology.

Privigen Thermowell Replacement, CSL Biotechnology Manufacturing Facility

TFG Group was engaged to replace the thermowell transmitters in 10 different sectors of an operating plant. The project required specialised welders to operate in critical areas with clean and sanitised procedures and equipment to maintain the environments integrity.

KEP RECHARGE ALLIANCE

Beenyup Recharge Bore SMP Installation, Perth

TFG Group was awarded the installation of all pipe supports, piping, valves and associated instruments to all recharge spooling. TFG committed to a schedule and timeline of mobilisation of bore piping; documentation verification, onsite fabrication and Hydro testing all spooling to AS4041 & AS4037.

New Production Line Installation, Meadowlea Factory

As part of Graincorp’s consolidation strategy, Meadowlea margarine products will be produced from the Footscray, Victoria facility from 2016. SPX Flow Technology, on behalf of Graincorp awarded TFG Group a contract to install the new Meadowlea margarine production line in early 2015.

CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES

Bluetongue Consolidation Project, Warnervale & Abbotsford

TFG Group was engaged by Carlton & United Breweries to uninstall and then mechanically install the plant and equipment from Warnervale to the new cider making facility in Abbotsford. TFG had comprehensive knowledge of both sites from previous installations and completed the project under budget and within time frame.

Project Hyde Park, West End Brewery

Lion chose TFG Group as the preferred mechanical installation contractor for the entire Hyde Park Project.
Valued at more than $10m, the two-year project was a huge success with TFG’s management staff working closely with Lion project engineers to finalise the most effective design options.

KRONES

Brewhouse Installation, West End Brewery

Krones awarded TFG Group with the contract to install the new brewhouse at West End Brewery in South Australia. In a world first for Krones and Lion, the brewery stayed functioning without a single hour of lost production time outside of the seven week shutdown period. During this time, TFG worked with temporary pipe relocations to ensure vessels could be swapped out without disruption to existing operations.

Water Farm and Boiler Upgrade, West End Brewery

The water farm relocation and installation was completed whilst the plant was at full running capacity. To ensure no loss of production, TFG Group implemented a phased installation of the new vessels whilst systematically decommissioning and phasing out the old water farm. This included five new water vessels and four Clean in Place (CIP) tanks. Two new boilers were also installed using 350mm nominal bore steel pipework with the old boilers decommissioned and removed from the site.

Coopers engaged TFG Group to complete the new bottling line, install upgrades to the mash filter, fermenters and yeast propagation systems and install a new evaporator at the Adelaide plant.

TETRA PAK

Pipework Upgrade, Johnson & Johnson

In 2013, Tetra Pak engaged TFG Group to assist with the upgrade of primary pipework for their powdered formula milk production facility, owned by Johnson’s Baby Foods in Singapore. The upgrade came after fears of contaminated formula milk products through the Asian market and it was decided that the facility would be upgraded to meet stringent Australian Standards.

Brewhouse Installation, Little Creatures Brewery

Water Treatment Skid, Santos Waddy Brae Minesite

In a world first, TFG Group were given the opportunity to fabricate a water treatment module which combined micro-filtration and reverse osmosis carbon filtration systems on the same transportable skid. The resulting module was capable of converting 30,000L of waste water into potable water every hour.

Filling Line Upgrade, Harvey Fresh

In 2011, Tetra Pak engaged TFG Group to assist with the upgrade of a filling line at the Harvey Fresh flavoured milk production facility in Western Australia’s South West. TFG completed the installation using orbital welding techniques to ensure the highest quality finish and bacterial contamination.

VEOLIA

Reverse Osmosis Skid, Woodside North Rankin Platform

TFG Group was awarded the contract by Veolia Water to fabricate a two-pass Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) Plant for the new North Rankin B platform, installed 100 metres from the existing North Rankin A platform. The BWRO was designed by Veolia to produce demin water with very low chloride levels for topping up of the platform tempered water system.

Brewhouse Install and Upgrade, Boags Brewery

TFG Groups was originally engaged by Krones to install the new brewhouse, malt handling facilities and cellar upgrade at the brownfield site in Tasmania. TFG’s success in this installation prompted brewery owners Lion to engage TFG to complete the rest of the project which included a green beer centrifuge upgrade, fermentation system and filtration system upgrade.

Brewhouse Installation, Little Creatures Brewery

Over a five month period in 2006, TFG Group was entrusted to install a new brewhouse and fermentation cellar for Little Creatures in Fremantle, Western Australia. The new 200 hectolitre brewhouse replaced the existing 50 hectolitre operation while trading continued as normal.

SMITH’S SNACKFOODS

Continuous Kettle Fryer Line Upgrade, Smith's Snackfoods

Smith’s Snackfoods engaged TFG Group to install their first Continuous Kettle Fryer (CKF) in their production facility in Regency Park, Adelaide to assist in the production of their new line, Red Rock Deli potato chips. TFG installed the CKF machinery and all associated pipework, which allowed a complete production line from potato washing, peeling, slicing, frying, seasoning and packaging.
